Appearance
The vast majority of rings are hand finished, so please be aware that they may not always look exactly the same as the images on the website. If this causes concern then please contact our customer service team, who will be happy to discuss your requirements with you.
Metal Weights and Carat Weights
Whilst we strive to ensure we supply all rings in the weights specified on the item page, each ring is unique. Rings will be considered as suitable if they are within an acceptable trade tolerance, i.e. if the weight is within 5%. The main reason for weight variations is due to finger size.
Setting Distance
When a gem or diamond set ring states it is half in the product description the gem or diamond coverage across the ring will vary between 40-60% subject to the design of the ring. When a gem or diamond ring states full the gem or diamond coverage will be 100% around the ring as per the design.
Diamond Quality
All of our Diamonds lab grown. We have two qualities of diamonds which are used in our rings. We have D/E VS+ or E/F VS in colour and clarity. No marks will be visible to the naked eye. The quality can be selected in the options when making your purchase.
Platings & Finishes
All finishes and plating’s are subject to wear & tear.
Finishes and plating’s applied to a ring are not permanent and will wear over time. This will vary from person to person based on daily wear and activities undertaken with the ring on.
Pricing
Prices displayed are in Pounds Sterling and inclusive of VAT.
We endeavour to ensure that all our prices are clearly displayed and that there are no hidden extras. The final amount payable will always be shown at the check-out before payment is made. By placing an order through our website, you are offering to buy the ring at that price. In the event of human error or software malfunction where the customer purchases an item online at the incorrect price, we reserve the right to return the amount paid in full and cancel the purchase.
Please note that discount codes cannot be used with sale items. In the event that a discount code is used for a sale item, your order may be cancelled.
We change our discount codes regularly. We cannot be held responsible for the expiration of a discount code found online. Only one discount code can be used for each order placed.
Price Matching
For the London Diamond Office price match to apply the product must be identical.
- For Engagement rings this means the same width, depth, profile, metal, diamond or gemstone weight and quality.
- The item being matched must be for sale in the UK and in GBP.
- Price matching will not apply where the alternative supplier is in administration or closing down, or the item is damaged, pre-owned, or in a sale or promotion.- Price matching will not apply where the item to be matched has a different time-scale for delivery.
- If you find one of our products at a lower price and prove that it meets our price match criteria :Email us: info@londondiamondoffice.com
Please provide the following information as you will be asked a few questions to verify your claim:
1. The website link proving the product specification and price in GBP.
2. If the weblink is not available please supply official documentation from the competitor proving the product specification and price in GBP.
If we confirm that the product is being offered at a lower retail price, and that it meets our price match criteria, we will match the price.
Where we honour the price, we will supply the identical product at the agreed lower price. If you have already purchased from us, the difference will be returned by the original method of payment and is non-transferrable. A claim must be made within 14 days of purchase.
Cooling off period, cancellations and refunds
After the date of order there will be a 14 day cooling off period. Should you wish to change or cancel your order please notify us within this period.
Once you order has been dispatched you can return your item up to 30 days from the date of dispatch or collection, if it is not as described or you are unhappy with your purchase.
If you wish to cancel your order during manufacture or return it for a refund, please contact us either by telephone or email. The purchaser will not be refunded any relevant shipping or express manufacture costs and will be responsible for returning the ring to London Diamond Office.
The item must be received back in its original condition, with all original documentation where applicable. The security tag on the item must remain in place and if broken or tampered with a refund will not be authorised.
We reserve the right to not accept an item back for refund or exchange if it shows excessive wear and tear (even within the 30 day returns policy).
Items will not be accepted back for refund or exchange where there is evidence that a third party has carried out work on the item.
Bespoke orders, engraved items and shaped rings are non-returnable.
Refunds and exchanges will not be authorised for these items.
We will also not refund if it is evident that more than one ring was purchased with the express intention of choosing between them and returning one for a refund.
Refunds will be made by the original method of payment.
In some cases, we will contact you before we manufacture a ring, to discuss what we can do to ensure the ring will be suitable and therefore not returned. This is especially likely if the item is of high value, e.g. a full diamond or gem set ring. We reserve the right to exclude items from the 30-day return policy, and will always contact you prior to manufacture if this is the case.
Exchanges
Brandworth Ltd will offer to exchange any item on our website for another item available on our website providing it is of equal to or of a greater value than the item it is being exchanged for. All exchanges must be received within 30 days of first order being dispatched and all postage costs will be the buyers responsibility. We do not exchange bespoke orders or items that have been engraved or customised in any way. If you would like the same item but a different finger size the majority of our plain bands can be re-sized. Diamond or gem set bands will need to be assessed on a case by case basis. We will not exchange any item if it has been worn or damaged by the wearer. The ring must be returned in the condition it was sold and with the security tag attached.
Warranty
We believe in the quality of our products and will correct any manufacturing defaults during the first 12 months. A ring will not be considered to have a manufacturing default if it shows excessive signs of wear and tear or it clearly has signs of impact damage, with no exceptions. Even the most tough metals may show wear and tear from contact with everyday objects. We strongly advise you to insure all high-value items, especially those with diamonds. We will not replace a dislodged or lost diamond free of charge, unless it happens within the first 12 months of the date we dispatched the item and it is due to manufacturing fault. It is important that you wear your fine jewellery with care and remove it when carrying out manual tasks in your personal and work time. ie lifting weights at the gym, gardening, cleaning or lifting heavy objects just as a few examples.
Insurance
You will receive a full sales invoice for your purchase and lab grown diamond certification. You can provide these documents to your insurance company should they require them.
We advise that all fine jewellery is insured.
Third parties
Your guarantee and 30 days returns policy is invalidated if you allow a third party to carry out any work on a piece of jewellery we have made for you.
Hallmarks
All of the jewellery Brandworth Ltd sells will have a British Hallmark if required. All jewellery is hallmarked by an independent British Assay Office.
Delivery and ownership of goods
As we make all our rings to order we are only able to give estimated due dates. This is because we have to be prepared for all eventualities within the manufacturing process. Although rare, when delays occur, they are not usually more than a day or so and we will always update our customers should we experience any changes to their estimated due date as soon as we are made aware of them.
We use the Royal Mail Special Delivery (next day) service which means that items sent by us are fully insured until delivered and signed for. After that they are the customer's responsibility. We strongly advise customers to use this service in the event of returning an item of jewellery to us. Recorded delivery should not be used for sending jewellery.
If you require your purchased goods to be delivered by an alternative courier to that of the Royal Mail, you may be liable to an additional postage charge.
We do not charge for sample packages being returned to us if they are lost, damaged or delayed where the correct postal service was used and the sender has provided proof of posting.
Any item received by a customer without us first receiving full payment remains our property until all monies have been received.
